The Bonchon Snow Festival Offerings!

The heat is on, but Bonchon is here to bring in the chill! Filipinos can now experience a Korean-inspired snowy escape with their newest innovation, “Snow Much to Love” pairing — the Snow Cheese Chikin and Caramel Snow Ice Coffee.

Known for its innovative Korean menu, Bonchon’s latest summer food pairing blends comfort food with a refreshing twist. Bonchon Snow Cheese Chikin comes with its signature crispy coating showered in a rich, cheesy powder that melts with every bite. Pair it with Caramel Snow Ice Coffee for milky-creamy goodness that’s truly snow much to love!

I love the flavor profile of Korean fried chicken because I like sweet and savory food. Nothing beats the Bonchon signature extra crispy coating which we all know and love. Then, instead of the usual glaze, everything is generously coated in the rich, creamy and sweet snow cheese. There is no lack in flavor here so it's a good idea to eat with rice and some kimchi on the side to provide balance. I also enjoyed the Bonchon Snow Cheese Chikin with some beer in the classic Korean Chimaek style.

Diners have "snow much to love" with Bonchon Snow Cheese Chikin set meals starting at Php150.

The Caramel Snow Ice is available in three (3) coffee and two (2) non-coffee based flavors that are all refreshingly sweet. I have yet to try the coffee flavors since I was craving for a fruity drink. Of course, the Coco Mango Snow Ice was the obvious choice for me and it delivered on the refreshing, sweet and cool promise.

Complete the Korean indulgence with Bonchon side dishes such as Fried Tteokbokki, Cheeseballs (available in select stores), Fish Cake Fries, and Kimchi.

Everything is covered in snow cheese!

Apart from the Chikin itself, the biggest hit on our table would have to be the Snow Cheese Balls! It has a perfect combination of creamy and salty cheese filling inside a soft and chewy rice cake ball similar to mochi. All this is then covered in a generous coating of sweet snow cheese.

I still prefer classic tteokbokki over the fried version, but I'm definitely a fan of the fish cake fries! I'm already obsessed with Korean fish cakes when they are stir-fried, added in soups or boiled in skewers. However, having them cut into strips and breaded before frying is a great new way for me to enjoy them!

It’s a timely treat for anyone looking to enjoy over a quick break in between busy days, binge-watching your favorite K-drama, or a bonding moment with friends and family. "We’re constantly looking for ways to innovate and stay relevant to what our customers are craving.
