Meat Depot Review: Affordable Angus Ribeye Steaks!

I was having a massive meat craving a few weeks ago and decided to invite my parents out for a quick lunch before we did our grocery shopping. We are not dining out regularly yet to avoid crowds so we were happy to find MEAT DEPOT in UP Town Center, which is a convenient place to enjoy a late lunch at the same place where we can also pick up our groceries. I used to always order meat online from Meat Depot especially during the height of the pandemic when literally all of our household shopping was done online. I am currently doing a hybrid version of that, with some things bought online and just a few things from the store. I was actually pleasantly surprised to learn that apart form being a frozen meat shop, one can also go to Meat Depot to have a nice meal. They have a “paluto style” restaurant wherein you can select your meat from the freezer and they can cook it on the spot for you and serve it with a choice of sides. Of course we went for an Angus ribeye steak, which we were able...

How to get to Boracay from Manila: Easy and Convenient Transfers

Travelling during the pandemic has been a proper pain in the backside. Aside from all the safety risks involved, there are so many health protocols that need to be followed. However, in recent months, restrictions have eased significantly, and it is now much easier to move around and cross borders. Personally, I have not yet travelled outside of the Philippines since COVID happened and have only just taken my first domestic flight this month. Here’s a guide on what it took for me to get from Manila to Boracay in October 2022. Step 1: Documentary requirements: Hotel Booking: All visitors to Boracay need to have a confirmed hotel booking for the duration of their stay. This is not new though, as the same has been enforced since before the pandemic started. Flight booking: Obviously, one needs to get to the island from somewhere, and round-trip tickets are required. QR Code: Visitors to the island also need to secure a QR code which will be presented at the ferry port before going to Bora...

Korea Day Tour: Strawberry Picking in Pocheon Valley

My friend Leah and I took a day trip to the Pocheon Art Valley in Gyeongggi-do, South Korea, which is about 40 minutes away from Seoul. However, most tours that go there have two or three stops and the one we got had a quick stopover at a strawberry farm. In the video I shared below, you will see what took place during our small side trip to go strawberry picking. We were joined by another pair as we took a van from Myeongdong in Seoul to head to the farm. Once we arrived, we were treated to a quick breakfast of hot tea and freshly made waffles topped with strawberry and apple jam. The jams were made from the fruits harvested from the farm, and I really enjoyed the fresh taste that was not overly sweet. After eating, we were each given a plastic container and told that we can bring home all the strawberries that we can fit inside as long as we can still close the lid. Furthermore, we can taste up to five strawberries while in the greenhouse. That got me really excited because I love st...
