A visit to the Champagne Room at The Manila Hotel is like stepping through a time machine. The intricate baroque style interiors can bring you back to the old world. The place is dripping with aristocratic European luxury. The beautiful interiors Chintz fabric covers all the chairs and old school chandeliers adorn the entire room. Heavy curtains, plush carpeting and crystalline details cover every square inch of space. You would almost want to change into your ball gown once you catch a glimpse of the Champagne Room. Despite the intimidating decor, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that having a meal here will not necessarily burn a hole in your pocket. My friends and I sat down for a set menu which ranges from only Php1,800 to Php2,100 nett, depending on your choice of main dish.
