Okada Manila Review: See Inside The Massive Executive Suite!
As an event producer and travel blogger, I’ve been to so many hotel rooms both in and out of the Philippines. Most of them pretty much look the same and have the same basic features. However, the EXECUTIVE SUITE at OKADA MANILA was a real delight! What makes the place really special? Watch the video below for a full tour:
IMPRESSIVE SIZE
The square footage alone is daunting. Each Executive Suite is 200-250 sqm. the floor area is bigger than most homes! I have stayed in the Presidential Suite in many other hotels and those are not even close to the size of this suite.
The main living area has a marble dining table that seats eight people. However, it’s actually big enough to accommodate up to 12 people. There is also a bar/kitchenette with seating for 4. There’s an ample collection of flatware and other kitchen necessities. You can always ask for more if needed. The bar is also equipped with a Nespresso machine. Four pods are replenished for free on a daily basis.
The mini bar has a selection wines, juices and sodas plus the usual chips, candies and other snacks. My only complaint is that I wish they had a microwave. I always order too much from room service or the restaurants downstairs and it would have been very useful to have a microwave inside the room.
LIVING AREA
The living room is equipped with a full-sized sofa and coffee table set. There’s a flat screen smart TV where you can watch local and international cable channels. You can also access the internet and log in to your own Netflix account. The tablet that’s available in the living room as well as the bedroom can control everything in the room. You can use it to control your entertainment system, the lights, and even the drapes that cover the massive picture window overlooking the Manila Bay.
BEDROOM
The bedroom itself is sprawling. The king size bed is as comfortable as expected and there’s a lot of space to add an extra bed if you need it. there’s a TV, coffee station and a walk-in closet inside the bedroom. There’s also a massage room connected to the bedroom! There’s no need to go down to the spa. You can get your massage in the comfort of your suite! As if the living room wasn’t big enough, the bedroom also has its own sitting area.
BATHROOM
My favorite part of the suite is the bathroom. It is actually taking up about a quarter of the entire floor area of the suite. The floor to ceiling picture window opens up to a view of the bay. There’s a spacious jacuzzi that sits below a luxurious chandelier.
There is also a lounge inside the bathroom itself. You can literally live here. There’s no need for the bedroom or the living room. You have everything here. Enjoy a bubble bath while sipping some wine and watching Netflix. I swear it’s such a shame to ever leave the room.
This room is a perfect place for a staycation. You and your significant other can have a romantic weekend here or you can also bring your barkada or your family!
