POUND X FLATTERIE: Greenbelt Branch Offers the Best of Both Brands

Fans of POUND and FLATTERIE don’t need to argue about where to eat anymore. Patrons of Pound’s gourmet burgers and those who prefer Flatterie’s sumptuous flatbreads can now dine together in peace as POUND x FLATTERIE opens in Greenbelt 3.

My foodie friends and I went all out for lunch and took advantage of all the options. Let’s start with the items we tried at POUND. We learned that the burger patties here are cooked sous vide. I noticed the difference right away as I took my first juicy bite. The meat retained all the moisture while also acquiring a delicious caramelized flavor from the sear on the surface of the patty.

# Backyard Cheeseburger Double:

Those who want their burgers free of all the fuss can opt for the signature # Backyard Cheeseburger. Make it double patty for twice the fun!

The Amsterdam Burger

The Amsterdam burger is one of my favorites. I love fried onions and this burger has lots of it. The pastrami, gruyere cheese, sauerkraut and mustard relish combination gives it a tart flavor that cuts through the grease.

However, let’s not kid ourselves. We all know that the king of the Pound menu is the Foie Gras Burger. I will give you a moment to admire the photo above….

Now, wipe your drool and let’s talk about this burger. Two slices of perfectly seared creamy foie gras sit gingerly on top of the glistening burger patties. I never really bite mindlessly into this burger. I like slicing it with a fork and knife so that I can distribute the foie gras evenly through each bite. Rich, flavorful and decadent. Chalk this up for your next cheat day. It’s worth it, I promise.

Here’s another look:

If you’re not feeling like having a burger but you want some foie gras too, don’t fret! Since you can also order from the Flatterie menu, you can opt to have the Indulgence Flatbread. This flatbread is topped with truffled steak, foie gras, parmesan and onion.

Another crowd favorite is the Carbonara flatbread. there’s something about a runny yolk oozing through your food. Also, bacon just makes everything taste better.

I know we all have that friend who needs to have rice for every single meal. No worries, he can join too. Flatterie has several rice meal options in the menu as well. I loved Rosemary Chicken and the Pork Cutlet. Whoever makes the sauces at Flatterie has his game on point!

If you are a pasta person, I highly recommend the Truffle Pasta and the spicy Frutti di Mare. The truffle pasta is simple but the creamy  sauce is something you’ll be dreaming about. don’t worry, the truffle smell isn’t overwhelming. The Frutti di Mare is a good way to change things up if you’re already indulging in so much meat. The slight kick also helps you forget that everything you’re eating so super rich!

If you still have room in your tummy, it’s not a bad idea to look at the dessert menu. I know it’s hard to leave room but seriously guys, you will want to try some of the desserts here. My favorite would have to be the warm cookie a la mode.

The S’mores Flatbread is also a dream come true! In case you didn’t leave enough room for it, you have a reason to come back for another visit!
