Versus Barcade BGC: Back to the 90s Vibe for the Titos and Titas of Manila
We all know that anything nostalgic is a big crowd pleaser. For those of us who managed to entertain ourselves before the DOTA and Mobile Legends era, VERSUS BARCADE is the place to be.
One side of the bar looks like a regular watering hole but walk further inside and you will see a room full of the most popular arcade games! My friends and I had a lot of fun playing Tekken 3! Take note, playing is free for paying customers from the bar!
They serve a lot of classic Filipino street food here. The crowd favorite is the crispy isaw. This is different from your usual chicken intestine skewers. The isaw is deep-fried until crispy. It is then coated with a tangy vinegar-based sauce. There is absolutely no unpleasant aftertaste left in the isaw. So good!
They also serve kwek-kwek, chicken skin and other Pinoy bar chow faves like nachos and beef salpicao. Overall, the food was great and the atmosphere was really conducive for those of us who want to be childlike after a full day adulting at work.
If you’re looking for something more substantial, they also serve pasta and rice meals.
Overall, this is a great place to chill out and reminisce. If you’re a bit younger, the novelty of the old school arcade games should also tickle your fancy. There is fun to be had regardless of your age group.
