Wolfgang's Steakhouse Promo Alert: Prime Rib Weekend Treat
If you haven’t heard yet, Wolfgang’s Steakhouse is offering a great deal for all weekends of December. Their USDA Prime Rib is available for only Php2,988++!
The set includes 400g of beautifully cooked USDA Prime Rib, creamed spinach, broccoli, horseradish cream and a choice of mashed or German potatoes. A rich, flavorful Au Jus is also served on the side so you can drizzle it over your meat.
First, let’s talk about the meat:
Each portion contains 400g of rare 28-day dry aged USDA prime beef. The meat remains tender and buttery after cooking. It yields to a fork like butter to a hot knife. Because there’s no caramelization and charring on the inside, the dry aged flavor really shines through.
Prime rib is cooked as a whole slab and sliced for service. That’s why you won’t see the over-all charring that you would get in a traditional steak. I find that this keeps the intensity of the meat’s natural flavors intact.
If you would like to intensify the flavors even more, you can drizzle some Au Jus over the meat. The reduced sauce gives an extra layer of beefy goodness.
On the side, you can enjoy Wolfang’s famous creamed spinach. I assure you, vegetables never tasted this good! There’s also a choice of German or mashed potatoes. For those who aren’t familiar, German potatoes are wedges cooked with some onions and seasonings. Frankly, I can’t choose which one I prefer between the two.
Some horseradish cream is also served on the side. This helps add an element of tartness if you wish to cut through the richness of the meal.
Personally, I like cutting the richness of any meal with some red wine. Wolfgang’s Steakhouse has an extensive selection of wine bottles that you can choose from. The full bar also serves cocktails and spirits if you wish to have something else.
I had this meal with my sister. We were able to share it because we were not completely famished. However, if you’re one hungry meat lover, I’m pretty sure you can polish this off all by yourself!
While you’re wolfing down your steak, just make sure to keep it classy even if you wanna go all caveman on the delicious meat. Wolfgang’s Steakhouse is one of the mos beautifully-appointed fine dining restaurants in the country.
